George's Workshop
A club member who makes the kit he fences in.
George has fenced at HEMA Penzance for many years, and he makes steel bracers and shields in his workshop. He wears his own work sparring twice a week, which is the best guarantee a piece of kit can have.
His bracers came out of many years of testing and development: 16 and 18 gauge stainless steel plates, brass saddle riveted to 4mm thick leather, laced with bungee cord and made to your measurements over your HEMA jacket. His bucklers are round or shaped, with a steel boss, a hardwood grip and a bound edge.
George also 3D‑prints HEMA kit, elbow and shoulder pads among them. If you want something he does not list here, ask in the notes on either order and he will tell you what he can do.
