Shoulder and Elbow

Protective kit for HEMA, 3D‑printed by a club member who spars in his own work.

George has fenced at HEMA Penzance for many years, and he makes steel bracers and shields in his workshop. He also 3D‑prints HEMA kit, elbow and shoulder pads among them.

The shoulder armour in the photograph is his: printed plates over the shoulder and down the upper arm, worn over a SPES jacket, with one of his earlier brass-plated bracers on the forearm below. He wears his own work sparring twice a week, which is the best guarantee a piece of kit can have.
